This is a documentation subpage for Template:Abbr (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Usage

{{abbr}} takes two unnamed parameters, in order:

  1. The short form, which shows as text on the page.
  2. The long form, which many web browsers show as a tooltip when a user hovers over the text.

Example

 |HBC
 |Homebrew Channel
}}

The HBC was made by Team Twiizers.

When hovering over the text, Homebrew Channel will appear as a tooltip.
