C@VE is a simple text-based homebrew game for the Wii U. It involves the player traversing a cave, with a dog in tow. The player must open doors, evade spike traps and look for hidden goodies, all while continuously finding food for the dog and feeding it. C@VE was originally developed for Browserhax by SonyUSA, and then ported to the Homebrew Launcher by CreeperMario, with icon data by pwsincd.

In C@VE, you walk around a cave to try and find the exit. There are currently five levels in the game, and there is no way (yet) to leave the last one. Your character is represented by the (@), and the dog (d) will stay behind you at all times. You cannot walk through walls (#) or closed doors (+), but you can walk through empty space and water (~). Doors can be opened by walking up to them, then holding X and pressing the +ControlPad in the direction of the door. Just remember to look out for the traps (*)! Some items will be invisible, and can be seen by walking up to them and pressing Y, followed by pressing the +Pad in the direction you think a hidden object is in. Look out for hidden spikes, it will be too late by the time you walk on top of them. You can use A to pick up food (F) you are on top of, and can also be used to advance through an exit (>, doesn't work on level 5). Don't forget to see how hungry your puppy is, and use the + button to feed it. You should also check on your health, and walk on top of potions to use them.
