Wuphax replaces the Mii channel of vWii with one that starts "boot.elf" located on the SD card root. Useful for softmodding without an exploitable game disc.

Installing Homebrew Channel via Wuphax

The most common use of Wuphax is to install the Homebrew Channel on the vWii.

  1. Download the HackMii Installer.
  2. Place the boot.elf file in the root of your SD card.
  3. Open Wuphax in the Homebrew Launcher.
  4. Press A to take a backup of the Mii Channel and install the hack.
  5. Open the Wii Menu.
  6. Open the Mii Channel
  7. Run the HackMii Installer and install the Homebrew Channel.
  8. Exit the Homebrew Channel after the installation is finished.
  9. Open the Wii U Menu.
  10. Open Wuphax again.
  11. Press B to restore the backup of the Mii Channel, so it can be used normally again.
